> master Manav Rachna International University (MRIU), a deemed-to-be university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 is a worthy successor of Career Institute of Technology & Management (CITM), Which was established in 1997 with the approval of AICTE, Department of Technical Education Haryana and affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak with an intake of 180 students in 3 B.Tech Programme. CITM established its credentials as one of the most preferred private self financing engineering college in the State of Haryana in a short period becuase of excellent physical infrastructure, good academic results and placements. Govt. of Haryana conferred Autonomous status to CITM in June, 2008 and MHRD, GoI conferred deemed to be university status to CITM in the name and style of ‘Manav Rachna International University’ vide notification no.F. 9-3/2007-U.3(A) Dated: 21/10/2008. MRIU, now carries forward the same heritage, mantle of excellence and professionalism with the philosophy of Manav Rachna “Vidyantariksha”.
This is a conjugation of the words ‘vidya’ and ‘antariksha’. ‘Vidya’ means knowledge, information, the basis of creativity and innovation. It is the foundation of technology and envisages the future. ‘Antariksha’ means ‘the sky’ the space which we belong to or exist. It can be broken into ‘antar’ and ‘Ikshan’ which means inner vision. Hence the combination, the core promise of Manav Rachna becomes the reality of “Inner vision or root of all knowledge”.
